Layering a Groove

Today's Tuesday beat takes a foundational groove and gradually add layers to fill out the groove.

The second bar adds the open hi-hat layer. In the third bar, ghost strokes and additional snare strokes are introduced. Finally, the fourth bar incorporates the high tom. When playing the final bar, play all of the stems up notes with your right stick (or left stick if you use a left-handed setup).
