definitely listen to the song until you're sick of it, i generally find that 60-70% of the effort in me learning a song is learning the structure and timing of the verse-chorus-verse.
then its just rinse and repeat!!

i learn by ear, i pick the song iwanna learn, i listen to it over and over again untill i am familiar with the song, then i start going through the song and learning the beat. i also look t tab to check the song if i am having trouble. using this technique i have learned around 40-50 songs? it works so yea
