Hey all,

So, now I've started using a headphone monitor amp, to save the hassle of trying to squeeze a giant wedge behind the kit so I can hear whats going on, I started thinking more about using a click track or metronome or something to help me keep time, because I am notorious for speeding up in a live situation, so I was wondering if you guys know the best(and possibly cheap) way of setting this up?

I am using a Behringer MA400 after KBakers recommendation.

Ideally I would like to be able to find out the BPMs for all the songs we cover and have them all pre set into a metronome or something that I could start for each song.

Any Ideas?

I use a Tama Rhythm Watch - $89. Programmable for 30 songs (BPM settings) and plugs into my Shure P4HW personal monitor.

:agree:

That is what I was going to suggest. You can tap that pad at the bottom along with the track to get the tempo. Then you can program 30 tempo's into it. You can also set up a foot switch with it. I'm not sure if that will stop/start or just switch to the next tempo.

I haven't tried it yet, but the concept seems ideal. Peterson BodyBeat. It sends a vibrating pulse to the clip so you can feel the beat. No need for a huge monitor or in-ears with mixers and mikes.
