What\'s up fellow drummers. I hope everyone has been playing and enjoying every minute of it.

I am thinking about getting an Iron Cobra single pedal with the \"cobra coil\".

I have been doing a lot of research about \'em and I have heard lots of good things.

I can\'t seem to dial in any of my other pedals regarding the action...I have been using a DW 9000 pedal and I can\'t do doubles on it. I have to work really hard to get the rebound from the footboard. I tried cranking the tension spring, but I lose all control and it\'s real stiff. I tried backing off on the tension and it\'s way too mushy.

Any feedback would be most appreciated y\'all.

Does anybody out there have this pedal? I would love to hear any and all stories from anyone with one of these pedals.

Chris

I have the speed cobra, which also has the cobra coil. It makes things much, much easier for what you're trying to do. Maybe even get a single speed cobra for yourself, it is mean't for things like that.
If using double bass is cheating, then so is using 2 sticks.

Hey drummers, I also prefer the Iron Cobra. I tested the DW 5000 with the intention of getting one based on what I had heard and various reviews. I found that the chunky heel plate was hindering my playing. The bloke in the shop then whipped out the Iron Cobra to try...... I was at the counter paying for it 2 mins later! Great bit of hardware!

So, what is the difference between the Iron Cobra Pedals? I am going to buy one, but I don't have the $200 + to buy the latest and greatest Cobra P900ntsb (or whatever). Are the newer ones worth the money, or are the older ones just as good. Also, I would like to get the spring that goes under the pedal. I think that will help my double kick much better (actually tried to make one myself - didn't work). Are they available on the older pedals?

Any help is appreciated.

I own both the DW 5000 (double pedal) and an Iron Cobra. (I own an Iron Cobra double pedal , a single pedal and an Iron Cobra HiHat Stand).

I prefer the Iron Cobras kick drum pedals by far.

As far as the High Hat stand...I love it....but have had some durability issues in the chain and also with the kevlar connector strap.
