Hi all
I am in need for some help. Over the last 6 months I have noticed that I have started to develop pains in my wrists. My doc has told me that it is tendonitis. Has anyone one here got any ideas on how to avoid the pain or reduce it?

Stop drinking Caffeine and warm up properly. Do wrist exercises and stretches. There are articles relating caffeine to arthritis. When I am caffeine free I have 0 pain in my wrists after shows. When I have a heavy schedule of gigs I tend to drink an epic ton of coffee and energy drinks. And within a day or 2 my wrists start hurting.

get one of these: http://www.tesco.com...p_GSF__210-7641
use it regularly, and do (as KBaker said) wrist exercises. also, you may need to alter your setup as your setup could be putting undue strain on your body.
i used to have my snare angled towards me, that used to cause me pain in my wrists, put it flat, pain in my arms, angled away slightly, no problems (i use trad grip mostly).
also has to alter my playing hieght and my tom and cymbal setup to feel better.
