hey everyone
im wondering if scooped cymbals are any good to play with? do they sound good or do they sound bad?

I'm not familiar with those. I could be off base on this, but I'm wondering if you're thinking 'scooped cymbals' in referance to 'scooped mids'. 'Scooped mids' is when the midrange frequencies or the treble aren't cutting through and blend in with the snare or cymbals. It also sounds like you're playing in a 'tin can'.

no i mean scooped cymbals when a bit on the edge of the cymbal is cut off to prevent a crack going further
