Thanks.  I'm going to try and focus more on somethings I need work on before I start taking formal lessons next month (just basic rudiments and reading notation).  After tomorrows jam practice, my set is going to be in "cleaning and tuning mode".  Hopefully, that'll force me to work on the practice pad more.
