Blended Paradiddle GrooveNate Brown
This groove blends both the double paradiddle and the single paradiddle into a crazy sounding drum beat based in common time.
The first part of the drum beat uses the double paradiddle played between the ride bell and snare drum followed by a single paradiddle. If you bring out the ride bell more, you’ll get more of a Latin-esque sounding groove.
The accent placements don’t follow the standard accents of the paradiddle rudiments. So, be careful with them. It may be uncomfortable at first, but they create the back-beat of the groove.
