Drum Fill #10 – Standard Syncopated Sixteenths
This pattern and variations of this pattern have been used in rock, funk, pop, etc. for decades. It’s a timeless fill with a lot of versatility. First, we’ll start with the groove’s foundation (#1), and then we’ll break it up between the hi-hat and snare drum (#2).
Next, we’ll hit the bass drum with every right-stick stroke (#3) and then experiment with playing the 4 e & ah down the toms (#4).
