Monster Drum Fill – Part 1Alex Ribchester
This short, snappy drum fill is a fun way to develop good technique and works great as an opening idea for next week's Part 2 drum lesson.
The core sticking pattern is RIGHT, left, left, KICK, played between the hi-hat, snare drum and bass drum. An emphasis is placed on the first and last strokes of the pattern (the right stick and kick, respectively). The notes with parentheses are ghost strokes, which are to be played very quietly.
