ZZ Top drives the rock shuffle to the top of the charts with La Grange. In this lesson, we'll look at the rock shuffle, groove timing and some triplet fills used in La Grange by ZZ Top.
A more difficult pattern based on a dotted crotchet pulse with semi quaver subdivisions. The idea for this fill comes from the Avenged Sevenfold song "The Beast And The Harlot" and you can find it at 3:34 in the song. It's only used for 2 bars but I really like the idea and thought it was worth exploring.
