This drum part uses creatively-dynamic, open hi-hat strokes. The open hi-hat strokes notated with a plus sign following indicate a quick close of the hi-hat immediately after the stroke. Open hi-hat strokes without a plus sign should remain open until the following hi-hat stroke. To recreate the original sound, play the hi-hat with the tip of the stick. This creates a crisp, tight sound. NOTE: To accommodate for the digital sounds, this acoustic version uses the rim knock and rim shot to reproduce the feel of the digital hand clap and deep digital snare.
