An all-around fun song to play. This groove is played with swung sixteenth notes throughout. The foot work can be difficult. As you can see in the sample, Daniel Platzman uses two quick bass strokes (with a single pedal) on the “ah” of beat 4 and the downbeat of the following measure. He uses varying sixteenth-note fills throughout. During the final chorus, an overdubbed rhythm played on the rim begins. We’ve included the notation for the overdubbed part, as well, just in case you have someone available to play it.
